Statcounter is a web analytics service . The statistics are based on tracking codes installed on more than 1.5 million websites worldwide. These websites cover a wide range of activities and geographical locations. Every month, these website visits are recorded. For each page view, the browser/operating system/screen resolution used is analyzed and it is determined whether the page view came from a mobile device. For search engine statistics, each page view referred by a search engine is analyzed and all this data is aggregated to obtain global statistics.

Search engine web robot activity is removed and minor adjustments are made to browser statistics. Other than these adjustments, data is published as it is recorded.
